➕ How to create a tournament or event on UDisc

Learn how to create and list tournaments, one-time events, and annual competitions on UDisc (outside of a league).

Go to udisc.com/events/add to create a tournament or one-time event. Fill out your event details, configure scoring settings, and submit for approval. Most events are approved instantly — but create yours at least 48 hours in advance to allow for setup time.

Note: Creating an event for your league? See Creating a UDisc League event instead.

Step 1: Go to event creation

Visit udisc.com/events/add and sign in to your UDisc account.

Step 2: Fill out event details

You'll need to provide an event name, date and time, course and layout, event type, play format (singles or teams), and visibility (public or private). Optional fields include divisions, registration, entry fees, event tags, and an event logo.

Not sure which event type to choose? See UDisc event types — what's the difference? for a full breakdown.

You can add TD contact details and event admins under the General tab in your Event tools after creation.

Note: Only one email and one phone number can be listed as contact details. If you have multiple contact methods, add them to the Event Description field instead.

Note: If your event is at a course not yet listed in UDisc, you'll need to add it before creating a scoring event. Go to You tab → Menu (≡) → Add New Course in the app, or visit udisc.com/courses/add. If your event is non-scoring, select Search by address instead during event setup to use any location.

Important: Event type can't be changed after your event is created. Choose carefully — if you need a different type, you'll need to create a new event.

Step 3: Submit for approval

Tap Looks good! to submit your event. Most events are approved instantly, though some take up to 48 hours – another reason to create yours well in advance.

Step 4: Link to a PDGA sanctioned event

If your event is PDGA sanctioned, you can link it to display the official PDGA event page and tier classification.

During event creation, select Yes when asked "Is this a PDGA event?" then enter the PDGA event ID (e.g. 12345) or the full PDGA event URL. The tier classification will display automatically on your event listing.

After event creation, go to Event tools → Scoring tab to add or update your PDGA event link at any time.

Step 5: Set up scoring

Once your event is approved, head into Event tools to finish setup. From there you can turn on UDisc scoring, configure rounds, add players, and generate scorecards.

Events vs. leagues

Use udisc.com/events/add for tournaments, one-time competitions, and annual events. Use a league for weekly recurring play and season-long standings.
