If you wish to run an invite only or private event, and keep score on UDisc, simply follow the below steps to set up your event.
Add your event at UDisc.com/events/add.
When you get to Visibility in the event set up, be sure to select Private event.
For league events, you can set event visibility to private when creating any league event template (Casual sign up, Formal sign up, Casual multi-day, or Advanced). You can also change event visibility in your Event tools after creation.
✨ Pro tip! Public events can be converted to private events via the General tab of your event tools.
What is a private event?
Private events will not be visible on the course page or in the Events tab in the app, unless searched by for exact full name.
Private events support the use of all UDisc Events tools, including registration, scoring, and live leaderboards.
How will players find my private event?
In order to locate your private event a player will need to search for it by exact full name. To help players find the event, be sure to share the complete event name, or pass along a direct link to the event by using the Share button or Quick Link.
Private events connected to a league will still display on your league home page in the Schedule tab.
Can I create a private league?
Leagues themselves are not private. However, you can create private events from your League tools. If all events in your league are set to private, your league will be difficult to find since players primarily discover leagues through their events.
Can I create events on invite-only courses?
Yes! You can create both public and private events on invite-only courses. You can also create leagues with an invite-only course as the home course.
When you create a public event on an invite-only course, the event will be visible in the Events tab and on the course listing. When you create a private event, it will be hidden from the Events tab and course listings, but will still appear on your league home page.
