Quick Answer

Apply for a UDisc League at udisc.com/leagues/apply. Most leagues are approved instantly, though some may take 24-48 hours for review. Your league must be public, recurring, and use standard scoring formats to be approved.

πŸ“ How to Apply

Step 1: Go to the Application

Step 2: Fill Out the Form

You'll need:

  • League name - Clear and descriptive

  • Main course - Where most events happen (you can use different courses later)

  • Contact info - Email or phone

  • Description - Brief overview for players

Step 3: Submit and Wait

Approval timeline:

  • Most leagues: Instant approval

  • Some applications: 24-48 hours for review

  • You'll get an email when approved

Once approved, you'll go directly to League Tools to complete setup.

βœ… League Requirements

Your League Must Be:

🌐 Public and open to anyone

  • All leagues are publicly listed

  • Individual events can be private (hidden from Events tab but visible on league page)

πŸ” Recurring or ongoing

  • Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly leagues βœ…

  • Seasonal leagues with multiple events βœ…

  • One-time events ❌ (use udisc.com/events/add instead)

β›³ Using standard scoring

  • Traditional stroke-based scoring βœ…

  • Match play, points systems, mulligans ❌

❌ Common Rejections

  • One-time event or tournament β†’ Use udisc.com/events/add for standalone events

  • Alternative scoring formats β†’ Match play, points-based, or modified scoring not supported

  • Putting league β†’ Putting leagues not currently supported

  • Inappropriate league name β†’ Keep it professional and welcoming

🎯 After Approval

Once approved:

  1. Complete league setup - Add details, divisions, photos

  2. Create your first event - Schedule when players compete

  3. Share with players - Post event links, QR codes

πŸ”„ Starting a New Season

Don't create a new league each season! Update your existing league instead.

Update for New Season:

Change league name (optional):

  1. League Tools β†’ General tab

  2. Update League name (e.g., "Spring 2025" β†’ "Summer 2025")

  3. Tap Save

⚠️ Name changes require profanity check - allow 24-48 hours before your next event.

Update description:

  1. League Tools β†’ General tab

  2. Update Description

  3. Tap Save

Update standings dates:

  1. League Tools β†’ Standings tab

  2. Change Start date and Last date

  3. Tap Save

πŸ’‘ Changing dates doesn't delete old standings - you can always view previous seasons.

Why Keep the Same League?

  • βœ… Historical data stays together

  • βœ… Players don't need to rejoin

  • βœ… Admins stay connected

  • βœ… Less setup work

  • βœ… Builds reputation

Only create new league if:

  • Moving to completely different course permanently

  • Fundamentally different format

  • Running additional league alongside current one
