Before diving into specific troubleshooting guides, try these common solutions that fix most issues:

  1. Force close and reopen UDisc

  2. Restart your device

  3. Check for UDisc updates in your app store

  4. Verify your internet connection is working

  5. Uninstall and reinstall UDisc (all data that has synced to the database will be restored to your device after logging back in)


Smartwatch issues

Problem: Can't access or use UDisc on your smartwatch

Symptoms: Watch app won't open, can't start scoring, options missing

Solutions by device:

Common causes: Outdated software, subscription lapsed, connection issues


GPS & location issues

Problem: Inaccurate location or GPS not working

Symptoms: Wrong position on map, distances incorrect, can't find nearby courses

Quick fixes:

  1. Enable location services for UDisc in your device settings

  2. Ensure UDisc has permission to access Precise Location (iOS) or Location (Android)

  3. Move to an area with a clear view of the sky

  4. Restart the app

  5. Uninstall and reinstall UDisc if issues persist

If you previously denied location access and the Courses map disappeared or stopped finding nearby courses, re-enable it directly in your device settings:

On iOS:

  1. Open Settings on your device

  2. Scroll down and tap UDisc

  3. Tap Location

  4. Set it to While Using the App

  5. Make sure Precise Location is toggled on

On Android:

  1. Open your device's Settings

  2. Tap Location

  3. Tap App location permissions

  4. Tap UDisc

  5. Choose Allow only while using the app

  6. Make sure Use precise location is toggled on


App performance issues

Problem: App crashes, freezes, or runs slowly

Symptoms: App closes unexpectedly, screen freezes, slow loading

Quick fixes:

  1. Force close and reopen UDisc

  2. Restart your device

  3. Check for UDisc app updates in your app store

  4. Ensure your device operating system is up to date

  5. Free up storage space on your device

  6. Uninstall and reinstall UDisc (all data that has synced to the database will be restored to your device after logging back in)

Scoring & sync issues

Problem: Scores not syncing between players on the same scorecard

Symptoms: Friend's scores aren't showing up on your device, or your scores aren't appearing for others in your group

Common solutions:

  1. Check your internet connection β€” poor cell service is the most common cause. Both you and your cardmates need a data connection for live syncing.

  2. Verify the correct username is on the scorecard
    Go to the You tab in UDisc and check the username you're logged in as. Make sure that exact username is listed on the scorecard. If the wrong username was added, remove it and add the correct one.

  3. Move to an area with better cell service β€” if you're in a dead zone, continue playing and scores will sync automatically once you have a connection.


Login & account issues

Problem: Can't log in or account access issues

Symptoms: Password not working, account locked, login errors

Solutions:

Beta version issues

Problem: Experiencing bugs or instability on Beta version

Symptoms: More crashes than usual, options not working properly

Course display issues

Problem: Can't find or see a course

Symptoms: Course missing from map, not appearing in search

Quick fixes to try first:

  1. Check your internet connection β€” course data requires an active connection to load

  2. Pull down to refresh on the course list or map screen

  3. Update your location permissions β€” make sure UDisc has access to your location. See the GPS & location issues section above for exact steps.

  4. Zoom out on the map β€” the course might be just outside your current view

  5. Try searching by course name instead of browsing the map

  6. Restart the app and check again
