⌚️ Using UDisc on your Garmin watch

How to set up UDisc on your Garmin watch, keep score, and troubleshoot common issues.

A UDisc Pro subscription is required to keep score on a smartwatch.

Before you start

Note: Not all Garmin watches are compatible with UDisc. Check the Garmin ConnectIQ listing for the full list of supported devices before getting started.

You'll also need the Garmin Connect app installed and your watch paired to your phone. See Garmin's pairing guide if you haven't done that yet.

Set up

  1. Make sure you have UDisc version 15.1 or newer.

  2. Update the Garmin Connect and Garmin ConnectIQ apps on your phone to the latest versions.

  3. Open the ConnectIQ app on your phone and search for UDisc to install it on your watch.

  4. Open UDisc on your phone and go to You → Menu → App settings → Garmin watch.

  5. Follow the on-screen steps to connect your watch. Once connected, your watch will appear on the settings page.

Keeping score

  1. Open UDisc on your phone and start a round.

  2. Use your watch to enter scores as you play.

  3. When the round is complete, finish it on your phone.

Note: The hole displayed on your watch always matches the hole on your phone. It won't automatically advance when a cardmate enters scores — you'll need to swipe to the next hole on your own device.

Troubleshooting

If UDisc isn't working on your Garmin watch, try these steps in order:

  1. Restart your watch.

  2. Restart your phone.

  3. Make sure both your phone and watch have the latest software updates installed.

  4. Make sure you're on the newest version of UDisc on your phone.

  5. Uninstall UDisc from both your watch and phone, then reinstall it on your phone first, then your watch.

  6. If you're still unable to keep score, unpair your watch from your phone and do a fresh install of the watch.

Scores not appearing on cardmates' devices

If scores you enter on your Garmin watch aren't showing up for others in your group, the UDisc app on your phone has likely entered standby mode. In standby, scores sync from the watch to your phone but not to the server.

  • Reopen UDisc on your phone. This removes the network restriction and scores will sync to the server shortly after.

  • Turn off Battery Optimization for UDisc to prevent this from happening again.
    On Android: Settings → Apps → App battery usage → UDisc → Unrestricted.
    On iPhone: Settings → Battery and turn off Low Power Mode.
