🧰 What's the difference between League tools & Event tools?

League and Event tools are both powerful tools to help you manage your events. This article will explain the differences.

League tools and Event tools each handle different parts of running your league. Here's how they differ and when to use each.

League tools

League tools are your home base for everything that spans your entire league. From here you can:

  • Add and manage league members via the Members tab

  • Create and edit league events via the Events tab

  • Edit your default divisions via the Divisions tab

  • Send an urgent alert for any league event

  • Update your league cover photo or logo via the Photos tab

  • Enable or edit standings via the Standings tab

Event tools

Event tools focus on managing a specific event. Access them by tapping the Event dashboard icon at the top of your event. From here you can:

  • Pre-register and check in players

  • Add to your event schedule

  • Create and manage scorecards before your event

  • View the leaderboard during and after the event

  • Edit player scores, add payouts, and record bag tags after the event

Leagues vs. standalone events

Use a league when you're running events that are connected — weekly play, season-long standings, or a series of rounds you want housed in one place. Leagues also support standings and handicap scoring.

Use a standalone event (created at udisc.com/events/add) for one-time competitions, annual tournaments, or any event that doesn't need to be part of a recurring series.
