Running an event at a course with limited cell service takes a bit of extra planning. Here are the best practices to ensure a smooth experience for your players.
Set up an Advanced event
An Advanced event lets you build card groupings and assign starting holes or tee times in advance — before anyone shows up to the course. This means players don't need a strong signal to get their scorecard. If you'd prefer players to create their own cards, consider bringing a portable Wi-Fi hotspot to hole 1 so everyone can connect and download their scorecard.

Enable pre-registration
Having players pre-register lets you build card groupings in advance, even before event day. You can publish starting holes or tee times ahead of time and push scorecards to players' phones — so everything is ready when they arrive, regardless of signal.

Check in and create cards before hitting the course
Some carriers provide better service than others at your course. Ask players with stronger signal to create their group's scorecard, or delegate card management to an admin with reliable service.
