What is check in?
Check in for UDisc Leagues and Events allows you to keep track of who is at your event and ready for play. If player check in is turned on for your event, players will see a Check in button in the app. Once checked in, you will see a green checkmark next to their name in your Event tools -> Participants tab.
How do I allow players to check in and create their own scorecards?
Casual sign-up and Casual multi-day round templates already have player check in and player scorecard creation enabled for you. Formal sign up and Advanced event league templates don't allow players to check in or create their own scorecards by default. To change this setting, follow the steps below:
From your Event tools tap the Registration tab
Select Yes in the “Check in” section.
This allows players to check in from the app on the day of the event.
Next, head to the Scoring tab.
Under “Who can create cards?” select Players and event admin.
How do I create scorecards, and allow players to check in for themselves?
To allow players to check in, but not create scorecards on their own, follow the steps below:
From your Event tools tap the Registration tab.
Select Yes in the “Check in” section.
This allows players to check in from the app on the day of the event.
Next, head to the Scoring tab of your event admin tools.
Under “Who can create cards?” select Just event admin.
This selection means that only you, or another event admin, can create and manage scorecards.
Tap Save under each section.
Head to the Cards tab to set up scorecard groupings for a singles or teams event!
How do I check players in?
If you’d like full control over player check in and scorecard creation, follow the steps below.
From your Event tools tap into the Registration tab and select Yes to ensure that players can pre-register for your event.
From the Registration tab, select No under “Check in.”
Head to the Scoring tab and select Just event admin under “Who can create cards?”
On the day of your event, head into the Participants tab to check players in manually.
Next to each participant that’s been added/registered, you’ll notice a checkmark with a circle around it that signifies their check in status.
To check in a player, tap the checkmark circle.
Once you’ve checked a player in, the checkmark will turn blue.
At the top right, you’ll notice a x/x that signifies the total number of players you’ve checked in, out of the total registered (e.g., 2 of 4 players = 2/4).
Players do not need to be checked in to play. As the event admin, you can still create and publish scorecards for any registered players.
