Starting a New Season? Don't Create a New League!
Important: You should NOT create a new league each season. Instead, update your existing league.
How to Update Your League for a New Season
Update your league name (optional):
Go to League Tools β General tab
Under General league settings, change your League name (e.g., "Spring League 2025" to "Summer League 2025")
Scroll down and tap Save
β οΈ Note: League name changes will go through a profanity check, so submit changes 24-48 hours before your next event.
Update your league description:
Go to League Tools β General tab
Update your Description with new season information
Tap Save
Update your standings date range:
Go to League Tools β Standings tab
Change the Start date and Last date to reflect your new season
Hit Save
π‘ Don't worry about losing old data! Changing the date range doesn't delete past standings. You can always view previous seasons by adjusting the dates back.
Why Keep the Same League?
Benefits of reusing your league:
β Historical data stays together - All your league history in one place
β Players can find you easily - They don't need to search for and rejoin a new league
β Admins stay connected - No need to re-add other league admins each season
β Less setup work - Keep all your settings, divisions, and configurations
β Builds your league's reputation - Long-running leagues attract more players
Only create a new league if:
You're moving to a completely different main course permanently
The league format or structure is fundamentally different
You're running an additional league alongside your current one (e.g., adding a beginner-only league)
