Quick Answer

Doglegs can only be edited on newly created fairways (safari fairways or those with temporary positions) in Layout Builder. Existing fairways from your Map Manager must be edited in Map Manager itself, since they're part of your course's blueprint and may be used across multiple layouts.

Understanding Dogleg Editing in Layout Builder

When you create a new fairway in Layout Builder (by adding a safari fairway or using temporary positions), you'll see an Add/Edit Doglegs option appear in the top right after the fairway is created.

What you can edit in Layout Builder:

  • ✅ New safari fairways (playing from one hole's tee to another hole's target)

  • ✅ New fairways created with temporary tee or target positions

What you cannot edit in Layout Builder:

  • ❌ Existing fairways that are part of your Map Manager

Why the Difference?

Existing fairways are part of your course's blueprint in Map Manager and may be used across multiple layouts. If you could edit their doglegs in Layout Builder, the change would affect every layout that uses that fairway—not just the one you're working on.

New fairways you create in Layout Builder aren't currently used by any other layouts, so you can safely edit their doglegs without impacting other layouts. Once published, these fairways will be added to your Map Manager and become available for use on other layouts.

How to Edit Doglegs on New Fairways (Layout Builder)

  1. Create a safari fairway or add a temporary position in Layout Builder

  2. After the new fairway is created, look for Add/Edit Doglegs in the top right

  3. Tap or click on the dot on the fairway and drag to create doglegs

  4. Make all adjustments before publishing

  5. Once you publish the layout, doglegs can no longer be edited in Layout Builder

Note: The Add/Edit Doglegs option is only available while you're editing the layout, before it's published.

How to Edit Doglegs on Existing Fairways (Map Manager)

If you need to edit doglegs on an existing fairway from your Map Manager:

  1. Go to the Map Manager tab of your Course Tools

  2. Select the fairway that needs to be updated

  3. Tap Add/Edit Doglegs

  4. Tap and drag a point on the fairway to match the shape of the hole

  5. Tap Confirm Doglegs

  6. Publish your changes

This ensures the dogleg changes apply to all layouts using that fairway.
