📍 Managing tee and target positions

Use Map Manager to add, reposition, reassign, delete, or deactivate individual tee and target positions on your course.

Add a tee position

  1. Open Map Manager from your Course Tools at udisc.com/dashboard.

  2. Tap Add tee from the icons at the top of the screen.

  3. Tap the map to set the position, or tap Use my location to use your GPS.

  4. Tap Confirm.

  5. Enter details like hole number, position name, and visibility tags.

  6. Tap Save.

Add a target position

  1. Open Map Manager from your Course Tools at udisc.com/dashboard.

  2. Tap Add target position from the icons at the top of the screen.

  3. Tap the map to set the position, or tap Use my location to use your GPS.

  4. Tap Confirm.

  5. Enter details like hole number, position name, and visibility tags.

  6. Indicate which basket is currently installed. If no basket is installed, select No basket.

  7. Tap Save.

Temporary tee and target positions can be added here, or using the Layouts tool.

Reposition a tee or target

⚠️ Repositioning can only be done in Map Manager, not in Layout Builder.

Manually reposition

  1. Tap the tee or target on the map and tap Reposition.

  2. Drag it to the correct position.

  3. Tap Confirm placement.

Use your GPS location

  1. Tap the tee or target on the map and tap Reposition.

  2. Tap Use my location to set the position using your phone's GPS.

  3. Tap Confirm placement.

Use GPS coordinates

If you have precise latitude and longitude coordinates, you can enter them directly.

  1. Tap the tee or target and tap Edit.

  2. Scroll down to Advanced Settings.

  3. Enter your coordinates and tap Save.

⚠️ Repositioning a tee or target more than 30 feet from its original location will reset the statistics for that hole. Learn more about resetting statistics.

Reassign a position to a different hole

If a tee, target, or fairway was mapped to the wrong hole, or your course layout has changed, you can reassign it without deleting and re-adding it.

  1. Tap the tee, target, or fairway you want to reassign on the map.

  2. Tap Edit.

  3. Under "Which hole does this belong to?" change the hole number to the correct hole.

  4. Tap Save.

You'll see an alert that this change could deactivate some of your layouts — this is expected. If you're reassigning an entire hole, you'll need to reassign the tee, target, and fairway individually. Check your layouts after publishing to make sure everything is still active and playable.

Delete a tee or target position

  1. Tap the specific tee or target position you want to delete on the map.

  2. Tap Delete in the menu that appears.

  3. Review the warning, then tap Delete to confirm.

  4. Tap Review changes and publish your updates.

When you delete a position, all connected fairways will also be removed, and any layouts using that position will be deactivated. Check your layouts after publishing to make sure everything is still active and playable.

⚠️ Do not use the trash can icon next to the hole name — that will delete the hole number.

Start over from scratch

If your course has changed significantly and you want to remove all existing mapping, you can do this manually in Map Manager by deleting every tee, target, and fairway individually.

Any unpublished deletions can be undone using the Undo button. Once you publish, changes are permanent.

  1. Open Map Manager from your Course Tools at udisc.com/dashboard.

  2. Tap each tee position and tap Delete, then confirm.

  3. Repeat for every target position.

  4. Repeat for any remaining fairways.

Important: Once you've deleted all tees, targets, and fairways, your holes will have no associated elements and Map Manager will show an error. This is expected — you won't be able to publish until you've added new tees, targets, and fairways to each hole.

  1. Add your new tees, targets, and fairways.

  2. Once everything is remapped, tap Review changes and publish.

Note: Deleting positions resets the stats for affected holes. See What does it mean to reset statistics? for details.

If your course has been completely redesigned and you'd rather use the guided Map My Course walkthrough to remap from scratch, see Map your course.

Deactivate a tee or target position

If a tee or target is not currently in play but you don't want to delete it, you can mark it as inactive instead. This keeps it on your map without affecting course stats.

Deactivate a target position

  1. Tap the target position on the map and tap Edit.

  2. For the question "What target is here?" select No target.

  3. Tap Save.

Deactivate a tee position

  1. Tap the tee position on the map and tap Edit.

  2. For the question "Is this tee active and playable?" select No.

  3. Tap Save.

Deactivating a tee or target that is in use on a layout will deactivate that layout. Check your layouts after publishing to make sure everything is still active and playable.

Marking an entire hole as active or inactive

Map Manager tracks active/inactive status at two separate levels — the hole itself, and the individual tee and target positions on that hole. These are independent settings, which can lead to a confusing situation: a hole's tees and targets can all appear active while the hole itself is marked inactive.

The hole-level status controls whether that hole counts toward your active hole total and whether it's available to include in layouts. If your hole count looks lower than expected, check the hole-level status first — even if the tees and targets look fine.

To mark a hole as active or inactive:

  1. Open Map Manager from your Course Tools at udisc.com/dashboard.

  2. Select the hole you want to update.

  3. Tap the pencil icon next to the hole name.

  4. Set "Is this hole active and playable?" to Yes or No.

  5. Tap Save, then publish your changes.

Note: Changing a hole's active/inactive status does not automatically change the status of its tees and targets, and vice versa. Always check both levels if something looks off.

Common questions

Should I map two tee pads as two separate holes or two positions on the same hole?

If two tee pads share the same primary target, map them on the same hole with two tee positions (e.g. "A" and "B") — splitting them into separate holes isn't necessary. When building your layouts, you can use any tee-to-target combination in any order, including playing from both tee A and tee B to the same target as separate holes on the same layout. This gives you full flexibility without needing to separate them in your map.
