πŸ”„ What does it mean to reset statistics?

If an existing element is repositioned or deleted, it's possible that statistics on that hole will be reset. What does that mean?

When tapping to reposition or delete a tee, target, or fairway you may receive a warning notifying you that these stats may be reset:

  • Layout difficulty - especially if you receive this warning multiple times or are repositioning or deleting many elements

  • Round ratings - possibly prevent players from receiving a rating on any layouts that include these elements, until new play data is accumulated

  • Global average score - any current data on this fairway will be completely removed, reverting the average score to N/A until new play data is accumulated.

If you are trying to add a new target position, or move a basket to a different existing position, follow the instructions in the linked articles.

Reasons you may want to proceed despite this warning could include:

  • Correcting an inaccurately placed tee, target, or fairway

  • The tee, target, or fairway was physically moved but only by a short distance (e.g. 30 ft or less)

  • The tee, target, or fairway was removed from the course permanently

  • The tee, target, or fairway never really existed on the course, or was incorrectly added to Map Manager

  • The tee, target, or fairway was accidentally duplicated (e.g., stacked tee pads or baskets)
