➕ Add a new course to UDisc's Directory

Instructions on how to add a new disc golf course to the UDisc directory online or in the app.

⚡ Quick Answer

Add a new course at UDisc.com/courses/add or in the app by going to More → Add New Course. Fill out the general info, availability, access, and details — then submit for review. Approvals typically take less than 24–48 hours. If you're listing a BYOB or special events course, see 🧺 How to List a BYOB or Special Events Course on UDisc for guidance on setting those up correctly.

⚠️ Already in the directory? If a course is already listed on UDisc but is missing a layout, don't submit a new course. If you're the Course Ambassador, you can add the layout directly in Course Tools. If you're not, ask to talk to a person in the chat and we'll help get it sorted.

📋 Step 1: General

Start by providing some general details about the course:

  • 📍 Course name and location

  • 📝 Headline and description

  • ⛳ Number of holes

📅 Step 2: Availability

Let players know when they can play. You'll indicate:

  • Whether the course has dedicated and/or permanently installed disc golf targets

  • Whether the course is under construction

  • When the course is available for play (year-round, seasonal, or special events)

💡 Listing a BYOB or special events course? Select "Bring your own baskets" if players need to bring their own targets, or "Special events" if the course is only available during specific events or is a temporary/pop-up course. See 🧺 How to List a BYOB or Special Events Course on UDisc for full setup details.

🔐 Step 3: Access

Tell players who can visit and play your course. This determines how it's displayed in the app.

  • Everyone — Visible on the public-facing map and course list

  • Limited — Visible to players who haven't filtered out Limited courses

  • Invite Only — Hidden from the map and list, but can be found by searching for it by name

This section also covers costs for playing and/or parking, contact information, and accessibility details.

ℹ️ Courses set to Bring your own baskets are automatically listed as Invite Only to prevent players from showing up before the course is ready.

⚠️ Courses available to Everyone must have at least 3 permanently installed targets and be accessible to the public.

🏌️ Step 4: Details

Tell players what to expect when they arrive:

  • How many holes, tees, and targets are installed?

  • What are your tees made of?

  • What kinds of targets or baskets are available?

  • What amenities are on site?

Provide as much detail as possible to help players find and enjoy your course!

✅ Step 5: Review

Double-check your work and click Submit! All new courses are reviewed and approved by the UDisc Team. Approvals can take up to 24–48 hours, but are typically much faster.

⚠️ Common Rejection Reasons

The email you received should explain why your course wasn't approved. Here are the most common reasons and what to do next.

It's a simulator or virtual course

UDisc's Course Directory only supports physical, real-world disc golf courses. Simulator setups, virtual courses, and indoor screen-based experiences aren't eligible, even if players can log rounds on them. If you have a physical location you'd like players to find — a shop, simulator bay, or practice facility — you can list it as a store instead. See ➕ Add a New Store to UDisc's Directory.

It's a duplicate

Your submission may have been flagged as a duplicate if a course already exists at or near the same location.

  • If you can't find the existing course on the map or list: It may be set to private or invite-only. Try searching for it by name. If you still can't locate it, ask to talk to a person in the chat and we'll help track it down.

  • If your course is truly separate from the existing one: Don't resubmit. Ask to talk to a person in the chat with as much detail as possible about how your course differs, and we can reconsider the original submission.

  • If you're adding a new layout to an existing course: A new course submission isn't the right path. Ask to talk to a person in the chat and we'll help figure out the best next step.

Not enough information

If your submission was rejected for missing details, don't resubmit. Instead, ask to talk to a person in the chat with the additional information — including a complete headline, description, and access details — and we can approve your original submission.

It doesn't qualify as a publicly listed course

If your course isn't accessible to the public or doesn't have at least 3 permanently installed targets, it should be submitted as Invite Only rather than public.
