Quick Answer
Use the Actions menu in Map Manager to reorder and rename holes. This updates the Map Manager structure but does not change the hole order on existing layouts — those must be updated separately in the Layout Builder.
When to reorder or rename holes
Reordering or renaming holes should not typically be done once your Map Manager is established, except in special circumstances.
Special circumstances include:
A complete course redesign
Temporary holes becoming permanent with different hole numbers
Major layout changes requiring hole renumbering
How to reorder and rename multiple holes
Open your course in the UDisc app
Access Map Manager
Tap Actions in the upper right
Select Reorder and rename holes
Drag and drop holes to reorder them
Tap on the hole number to rename it
Tap Save when finished
Review the new order and names along the bottom of the screen
How to rename a single hole
If you only need to rename one hole:
In Map Manager, tap the hole you want to rename
Tap the pencil icon in the upper right
Change the hole name
Tap Save
Critical: Reordering holes in Map Manager does not automatically rearrange the hole order on your existing Smart Layouts.
Important: Updating your layouts
After reordering in Map Manager:
Review each layout to ensure holes are in the correct order
Edit layouts individually using the Layout Builder if needed
Publish changes to make them available to players
If the hole order should only be different on a specific layout (like for a tournament), update the hole order directly on that layout instead of in Map Manager.
After making changes
Publish your changes in Map Manager
Review all existing layouts to verify they still work correctly
Update layouts that need the new hole order
Test with a practice scorecard to ensure everything works as expected
