Sending a push notification from the app
To send a push notification from the app, follow the steps below:
Within your league or event scorecard, tap Manage event (the wrench and screwdriver icon in the upper-right of an active scorecard)
Select who you'd like to send the message to - Everyone or Let me choose
Tap Send push notification
Use the dropdown to choose What type of message is this? and fill in the Message text.
When you’re ready, tap Send!
Once the message is sent, players will receive a push notification on their device and if they have the app open will also see a banner display.
Please note: You must be logged into your account and added as an admin to access event and league tools within your scorecard.
Sending a push notification from your desktop
If you’re working from a desktop, use the steps below to send a push notification to players.
From your League tools, tap the Messages & updates tab in the left sidebar.
Tap + New Message and select Send an event-specific message
Select the event you'd like to send this message to
Select who you'd like to send your message to, either "Everyone" or "Let me choose"
Tap Push notification
Select the type of message you want to send - info, warning, or cancelled
And finally, type your message text and hit Send!
Pro tip! View the messages you've sent to players for an event by tapping into your Event tools -> Messages & updates.
Do push notifications go to all players?
All checked in players will receive a push notification on their device, as well a banner that displays in app if they have the app open. If players are not checked into the event or registered in any way, they won’t receive an alert.
