What to expect after ordering a UDisc course sign

Delivery timeline

Once your sign is ordered, expect 2-4 weeks before it arrives. You'll receive a confirmation email once your sign order has shipped. If your order doesn't arrive within 4 weeks, please reach out to help@udisc.com.

When your sign arrives

Follow the steps below once your order arrives to get your sign on the course!

1. Scan it first! πŸ“±
Before installing, scan your sign's QR code to verify it directs to your course page in the UDisc app. If you ordered multiple signs, make sure to scan each sign.

2. Pick your spot πŸ“
Choose high-traffic areas like hole 1 or near your course info board for maximum visibility. If you have multiple entry-points on your course, consider installing a sign at each to ensure players know how to navigate and start their round.

3. Install it βœ…
Each sign has two pre-drilled holes – just grab some outdoor-use screws (we recommend #8 or #10 wood screws) and hang it up! Installing it on a post or info board with hard backing ensures your sign will last.

Don't forget to mark it as installed in your Course tools β†’ Signs tab!

4. Track your impact πŸ“ˆ
Keep tabs on your play counts and share them with others through your Course tools and weekly impact reports. Every scan means players are directed to your course page where they can record a round.

Troubleshooting: If your QR code doesn't scan correctly, please reach out to help@udisc.com. Let us know the course name and sign number. Let us know the course name and sign number (see "What do the numbers mean?" below).

How do I mark my sign as installed?

Marking your physical sign as installed can be done from your Course tools -> Course signs tab or straight from your Course tools -> Dashboard. Marking your signs as installed is an important step in letting the UDisc team know your sign has arrived and is in use on your course. It also gives the UDisc team better information on how course signs are being used and what communities might still need a course sign.

What do the numbers on my course sign mean?

In the bottom right corner of your physical course sign, you'll notice numbers like 001 or 002. This series of numbers helps you identify which specific sign you're referring to when contacting our team for any sign-related support or replacement help.

What if my sign is lost, stolen, or vandalized?

If your sign needs to be replaced, reach out to help@udisc.com. Please include:

  • Why your sign needs to be replaced (the sign number)

  • Which course the replacement is for

  • Which sign needs to be replaced if you've ordered multiple (e.g., sign 001)

Can I download a UDisc course sign to print myself?

Yes! You can download a free digital copy of the UDisc course sign in your Course tools β†’ Course signs tab. This option is available to all courses in UDisc, whether or not you're eligible for a physical course sign. If your course isn't eligible for a free physical course sign, make sure to take advantage of the download option.

Printing your course sign

If you download a sign, we recommend taking it to a professional sign shop. Most online sign shops can fulfill orders with these specifications:

  • Size: 200x300mm (approximately 8"x12")

  • Material: 3mm ACM (also known as Dibond)

  • Ink: UV resistant

  • Finishing: Rounded corners, 2 pre-drilled holes

If you can't get your sign printed at a sign shop here are a few other ways you can use your UDisc course sign download:

  • Print it at home on cardstock paper (65 to 100 lb weight) and laminate for durability on the course

  • Share your UDisc course sign on social media

  • Ask your local municipality or partner organization to share on their website

Download your course sign unlimited times! If you print your course sign on paper and it doesn't withstand the elements, head back into your Course tools to download your sign as many times as you'd like.

Why should I install my UDisc course sign?

A UDisc course sign gets players straight to the course page where they can find details about your course and start a round. Whether you're considering the experience of brand new players or those returning to your course, a sign ensures that players have access to the layouts you've spent time perfecting.

Every scan of a UDisc course sign also means that players are one step closer to recording a round, which means more data in your hands to grow the sport. Every round that's recorded in the app translates to data you can use to understand how much disc golf is being played and advocate for more courses. Read more about how to use UDisc stats.

How long will my course sign last?

Your course sign should last on your course for at least 3 years! These signs are designed for outdoor durability with UV resistant ink and weather-resistant material meant to withstand varying weather conditions.
