How can I create a layout that plays from the tee of one hole to the basket of another hole or that uses temporary positions?

This new feature is currently in Beta. In the meantime, these fairways and elements can still be added on your Map Manager.

The Smart Layout tool makes it easy to customize your layout by adding new fairways, changing hole order, or adding temporary positions.

Step 1: Create a new layout

If you’re unsure how, check out our guide on creating a new layout.

Step 2: Add your map

  • Adding safari fairways

    • Simply tap the tee you want to play from and then the target you want to play to—this can be selected from anywhere on the map. Confirm that you are adding a new fairway.

    • Optionally set your par, add hole notes, or update other details. Once complete, tap Done with hole and move to the next hole.

  • Adding temporary positions

    • At the top right of the layout map tap Add temp tee or basket. This will open up Temporary mode. You'll know your there by the orange outline that will appear.

    • Tap anywhere on the map to add your new temporary tee or basket position, or select one of the previously used temporary positions that appear on the map.

    • Confirm your selection, add a name if necessary, and tap Create position.

    • One the new position has been created, you will exit Temporary mode and be able to select this newly created position for any hole on your layout.

Safari fairways and temporary positions can still be added using the Map Manager as well.

Step 3: Publish your layout

  • Complete the mapping for all holes on your layout, and review it on the Summary page. If everything looks goo, that’s it! Tap Publish layout, and your new layout will be added to the course and available for players immediately!
