While this new process is currently in Beta, you can learn more about how to do this right now in this dedicated article.
Whether your event is adding some new tee pads and pin positions, playing one round of an abnormal number of holes, or just mixing up the hole order for tournament play, creating an event-specific layout is now easier than ever.
Step 1: Create a new layout
Access your event tools by locating the event listing and tapping Manage or via UDisc.com/dashboard.
Select Layouts & caddy books from the menu on the left.
Tap Create event layout.
This can also be done while you are creating your event. When selecting the layout you want to use for the event, if the layout you need isn't available, tap Missing a layout? Add it here. This will take you to the Layout Builder.
Step 2: Add the details
Enter all the important details
Layout name
Caddy book intro
Number of holes
Associated event
Dates of availability
Layout notes
Determine how you want to go through the builder
One hole at a time - Walk through the course map and select your tees and targets hole by hole
All at once - Jump to the overview and make your selections all at once
Tell us how the layout should work
Choose a specific basket position (Recommended) - They layout will always play to the selected position
Follow the basket - The layout will automatically update to match current basket locations
Step 3: Build your map
One hole at a time
Starting with hole 1 of your layout, tap on the tee and target, or the fairway you want to play
Set par notes and more - Enter any hole notes that players need to see as they play, override the par, and adjust details.
Verify that the fairway you want to play is selected, and tap Done with hole 1.
Complete this process for each hole on the layout
On the Summary screen, verify that everything looks correct and Publish your layout.
Fast track! If the majority of your holes will be playing the same tee and target, you can default them to these positions. You'll still be able to make a change on any hole if needed.
All at once
On the Summary screen, use the dropdown menus to select the tee and target for each hole, or use Fast track! at the top to set all holes at once.
Expand a hole to set the par, notes, and other details.
Verify that everything looks correct, and Publish your layout!
