Who can use it?
Turning scores off is free and available to anyone using the UDisc app. You can record an activity round on any course and layout, with any number of players.
How does it work?
When creating a scorecard, set each player's scoring preference to Scores on or Scores off, then tap Start my round.
Why should I use it?
Keep the streak alive. Tracking a round with scores off lets you keep your streak going, even if you aren't in the mood to keep score.
Track your activity. As long as you've given UDisc the necessary permissions, tracking a non-scoring round lets UDisc record your physical activity while you're on the course. Learn more in How do I track my activity for a disc golf round?
Support disc golf in your community. Tracking every round you play helps ensure the accuracy of the stats delivered to Course Ambassadors, which can help grow the game locally.
Can you switch between a scores on and scores off round?
Tap the menu in the upper right of the scorecard, then tap Scoring. Switch the setting and tap Done. You can switch back to a scoring round any time using the same steps.
What happens to scores if I turn scores off in the middle of a round?
You'll no longer see any scores for this round. The scores are still stored, though — if you switch back to a scoring round, you'll see them again.
Can I turn scores off even after I finish the round?
Yes. Open the finished scorecard, tap the menu in the upper right, and tap Scoring. From here you can switch between "scores on" and "scores off."
Note: After a round is completed, you can only change this setting for yourself — other players' settings can't be adjusted.
How can I set my default scoring preference?
Tap You → Menu → App settings. Under Scorecards, toggle on Default to activity round to have new scorecards default to scores off.
Can I still see hole information if scores are off?
Yes — you'll still see distance and par for each hole, and you can tap the map icon to open the hole map, which includes your distance to the pin.
