👥 Sync scorecards with friends

How to add a friend to your scorecard by username, nearby Bluetooth search, or as a local guest player.

As long as your friend has their own UDisc account, you can add them to a scorecard one of two ways.

Adding a friend

Note: Anyone in your group can keep score on their own phone, and scores update instantly for everyone across all devices.

Before your round: add them as a cardmate

  1. Open the UDisc app and go to You tab → Menu (≡) → Cardmates.

  2. Tap the icon in the top right to Add New Player.

While creating a scorecard

After selecting your course and layout, tap the icon next to the search bar to Add a new player. You'll have three options:

  • Find by username — search for your friend using their UDisc username or PDGA #.

  • Find nearby players — opens the Friend Lobby, which uses Bluetooth to show nearby players. Have your friend open the UDisc app, go to the You tab, and tap the Friend Lobby button (to the right of their username) to join. Once they do, they'll appear on your device and you can add them.

  • Create guest player — creates a local player on your device only; it won't link to any UDisc account. Encourage your friend to sign up for their own free UDisc account so they can start playing on their own account.

Important: To find a player using their PDGA number, they must have previously linked it to their UDisc account.
