✅ Course maintenance tasks — how they work

What the tasks on your ambassador dashboard mean, how to resolve each one, and what happens if a task is left unattended.

Course maintenance tasks highlight quick, high-impact actions you can take to keep your course listing accurate for players. Each task can be resolved with a tap or two, right from your dashboard.

Where to find your tasks

Tasks appear in two places:

  • Your dashboard at UDisc.com/dashboard — every open task across all of your courses, with a tasks left badge next to each course

  • Your Course Dashboard — the Course maintenance section shows the tasks for that course

Each task shows a due date. If the date passes without action, the task is marked Overdue. You'll also receive an email when new tasks are waiting for you, plus periodic summaries of any open tasks.

Unplayed layout tasks

The first tasks you'll see are for unplayed layouts — layouts at your course that haven't been played in the last 3 months. Extra layouts that no one plays make it harder for players to pick the right one and clutter your course listing, so these tasks ask you to decide whether each one should stay.

  • Smart Layouts offer three choices: Disable, Retire, or Dismiss

  • Classic Layouts offer two: Retire or Dismiss

What each action does

  • Disable sets the layout as inactive. Players won't see it when starting a round unless they select Show inactive, and it won't reactivate on its own. You can reactivate it any time from your Layouts tab.

  • Retire removes the layout from your course permanently. Retired layouts are hidden from players everywhere in the app.

  • Dismiss clears the task and keeps the layout active and available to players.

⚠️ Retire a layout only if you don't plan to use it again. If there's any chance you'll need it later, disabling is the safer choice. If a layout was retired and you need it back, ask to talk to a person in the chat.

What happens if no action is taken

If a task remains unresolved after it becomes overdue, UDisc will automatically resolve it to keep the course directory accurate for all players:

  • Unplayed Smart Layouts are automatically disabled — you can reactivate them from your Layouts tab at any time

  • Unplayed Classic Layouts are automatically retired

Why was my layout disabled or retired?

If a layout disappeared from your course, it may have been automatically resolved after an unplayed layout task went unanswered. A disabled layout can be reactivated from your Layouts tab. If a layout was retired and you'd like it restored, ask to talk to a person in the chat.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see any tasks?

Tasks only appear when something at your course needs attention, and they're rolling out to courses gradually. No tasks is a good sign — your course listing is in good shape.

Will there be more task types?

Yes — unplayed layouts are the first. More maintenance tasks will be added over time.
