Sometimes, having a common username means someone might accidentally add you to a scorecard you didn’t actually play.
If that’s happening, there’s now an easy fix! You can set a cardmate code on your profile. When someone tries to add you for the first time, they’ll have to enter a 4-digit code to confirm it’s really you. If they can’t, you won’t be added.
How can you create a cardmate code?
In the UDisc app, tap the You tab in the bottom right. Tap the 3-dot menu in the top right, then choose Edit profile. Scroll down to the option under the PDGA number field, turn it On, set your code, and save.
Can you change your code or remove it later?
Yes! Just go back to your profile. You can turn the code off or update it anytime.
What does it look like when someone tries to add you?
They’ll be asked to enter your cardmate code. If you’re with them on the course, it’s quick to confirm. If you forget the code, you can check it in your profile.
Who will need to enter it?
Only people adding you for the first time. Once someone has played a round with you, they won’t need the code again.
What can you do about the rounds that you were mistakenly added to in the past?
Edit the scorecard and remove yourself. Then go to the More tab, check your cardmates list, and let our Customer Success team know who shouldn’t be there. We’ll clear them out so they’ll need the code next time they try to add you.
