To randomize players into teams, players must be signed up Individually (not as pre-formed teams). Follow the steps below:
Go to your Event tools → Registration tab
Under How do you want participants to sign up? select Individually
Tap Save
Go to the Participants tab
Under Team settings, tap Randomize players and teams
Tap Recreate teams
This assigns players to random teams. You can tap Recreate teams as many times as you like until you're happy with the groupings.
Important: Players must be added to the league or event before you can generate teams. See How do I add players or teams to my league or event?
Can I randomize teams and have players create their own cards?
No — these two options can't be used together. If you allow players to create their own cards (via Who can create scorecards? → Players and event admins in the Scoring tab), the Randomize players and teams option won't be available. Choose one approach or the other.
