While this new tool is still in Beta, courses can still be mapped on the Map Manager. This guide can help!

Congratulations on mapping your course! Now it’s time to set up your layouts. The tool may have auto-created some layouts, but it’s important to review them and make any necessary adjustments or additions!

Step 1: Set up your layout

  1. Open the Layout builder from the Layouts tab of your Course Tools

  2. Set your layout behavior, either:

    • Add course layout - this is best if it's a layout that is available at all times or uses permanent tees and baskets

    • Add event-specific layout - this the best if you are creating an event-specific layout that should only be available or visible for players during an event

  3. Give your layout a name.

  4. Add a description so players know what to expect.

  5. Choose the number of holes for this layout.

  6. Add layout notes that should appear on the scorecard.

  7. Decide how to map your layout:

    • One hole at a time – Walk through the course map and select a tee and target for each hole.

    • All at once – Go straight to the overview and use quick setup options.

Step 2: Map your layout

One Hole at a Time

  1. Start with Hole 1 and select the tee and target from the map.

    • You can choose any tee and any target available on the course.

    • If a fairway doesn’t already exist between your selected tee and target, a new one will be created.

    • Need a temporary tee or target? You can add one!

  2. After setting up each hole, adjust details like par and hole notes.

  3. Repeat for all holes, then review your layout on the Summary page.

All at Once

  1. Set the tees and targets for every hole in one go.

    • Fast track: Use the same tee and target for all holes.

    • Manual setup: Choose tees and targets individually using the dropdown options.

  2. Adjust hole details as needed, including par, hole notes, or hole names.

  3. Review the map at the top of the summary page to ensure everything looks correct.

Step 3: Publish your layout

That’s it! Tap Publish layout, and your new layout will be added to the course and available for players immediately!
